Rohail Aslam – Profile
Community/Voluntary and Statutory sector Creative Arts Practitioner, Consultant, teacher, Artist, Published Author, Rohail has had extensive experience of working within a broad range of Sectors on a wide variety of projects and activities for over a decade. From implementing research studies, developing policy within a wide range of organisations, delivering creative work-shops to people of all ages to publishing his first book of children’s stories for Heinemann Press, Rohail has more recently been involved in setting up The Brit Writers’ Awards Unpublished 2010, a national creative writing initiative aimed at offering a credible stage to unknown writing talent in the UK.
‘I have been working with an ever-growing interest in the positive effects that dialogue and education seems to have on people regardless of their age or social situation. This effect of positive introspection on all individuals is, I believe one of the most under-rated priorities of any community striving to create a better environment for its inhabitants.’
